New Year, New Mayor, New Look!
After winning the election, I will work with an all-star team to convert Gracie Mansion into a designer showcase where established New York City designers will each be assigned a room to design using the finest brands found in New York City with a strong emphasis on sustainability as well as local New York brands whenever possible.
Most of the designers and high-end brands I already know from my involvement with the Hampton Designer Showhouse, DIFFA's (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) Dining by Design, and other various red carpet events over the last couple decades. It's a thrilling challenge as well as a phenomenal opportunity even for those already at the top of their game.
The Gracie Mansion Designer Showhouse will be redone each year and the furniture from the previous show house will be returned or if it was donated to us will be sold at auction to benefit the Ivy League University and Learning Hospital/Mobile Clinics at which point there will be a new gala and public tour. A certificate of authenticity and a personal thank you card from me will be included with your purchase.
The $150k per Table Gala
The Gracie Mansion Designer Showhouse operates under a similar program as most other show houses except ours will include a sit-down formal dinner and celebrity performance with a cocktail party in the garden for less expensive ticket prices. After the designers finish their respective rooms, we will host a gala for New York society for $150k+ per table which will benefit the Ivy League University and Learning Hospital/Mobile Clinics.
After the night of the gala the doors will open for free to New York City high school and elementary students when accompanied by an adult with a ticket. The following day, the general public can buy tickets to view the Gracie Mansion Designer Showhouse. The Tours will last one week before shutting the doors for public viewing after which point the mansion will be available for daily, weekly, and monthly rentals starting at $1 million per night.
$1 Million per Night Airbnb Rental
I will not be living full-time at Gracie Mansion. I will mostly be living at one of the Popup Rescue facilities with the homeless and local entrepreneurs looking to make a better life for themselves while helping to rebuild the torn shreds of community left in the wake of an unrelenting gentrification sweeping across the five boroughs.
Instead, I will be renting out Gracie Mansion on Airbnb for $1 Million per night which could generate upwards to an additional $1.46 billion in revenue for the Ivy League University and Learning Hospital/Mobile Clinics. I will of course, join my guests occasionally for a meal, tea, or cocktail party as an added perk to staying at the mansion. The grounds can be rented separately for tented events during their stay as long as their is not a public outdoor garden event already on the calendar.
The grounds will remain available to me for hosting special events such as an annual Easter Egg Hunt, Pride Dance, Halloween Haunted House, 4th of July picnic, a Mother's Day Tea, a Father's Day miniature golf day, and an upcycled Christmas tree forest filled with artistic trees for auction made by world famous artists, celebrities, and NYC art students. I could go on forever but you get the idea. I'm also open to other holidays and event suggestions. If you have one please let me know. I'd love to hear from you!
